Please join me in celebrating the paperback release of SWIM HOME TO THE VANISHED at Brightside Books in downtown Flagstaff on Tuesday, August 20th, 2024.

Tristan and I grew up in Flag. We spent a lot of time in Bookman’s, the used books and media store near NAU (we lived in family campus housing, around the corner, which I’m realizing now was craftily constructed between two cemeteries). My brother and I got into a lot of trouble running around unsupervised (this is late eighties after all) on the south side of the tracks. We pierced rotting crab apples with a branch from the tree and flung them across the street where they splattered on a dorm wall or window, but occasionally we’d miss and hit a car, and sometimes they’d pull over and yell at us but we were already running halfway up the ped-way.

In addition to visiting Flagstaff, I will be reading/signing books at some of my other favorite bookstores in Seattle, Portland, and Boise (what a dream to read at Powell’s). Current paperback tour dates are listed below:
